My kid is very fond of Kannada Rhymes, though we have CDs for English and lot of videos that could be downloaded, while teaching I feel that lyrics are definitely helpful.
Small attempt to translate meaning of the poem into English ::-
This is the story of a small boy named ‘Thimma‘ in the form of a rhyme… One can teach their kids in any suitable convenient way or raaga.. This rhyme is a conversation between Thimma and his mother.. Whatever task his mom tells him to do, Thimma gives a very sweet excuse to that and ensures that he doesnt even attempt that task 😉 😛
**When his mom asks him to go to garden, he says he is scared of Wolf over there..
**When his mom asks him to graze Cows, he says Cow will bully him..
* When his mom asks him to switch on stove for Cooking, he says it might burn his fingers..
**When his mother asks him to write lessons, he gives an excuse that Chalk is over..
**When asked to bring water from Well- he says his hands are aching.
**When asked to bring Cooking pan- he says his legs are paining..
**Finally if called for lunch he is ready, without any excuses… 🙂
My daughter loves this rhyme a lott…. This rhyme holds good for all kids and it is dedicated to all kids.. 🙂

Lyrics in kannada ::
