Idli upma recipe- ಇಡ್ಲಿ ಉಪ್ಪಿಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ

When we make idlis , there are obvious chances of idlis left sometimes, which kids (even elders) refuse to eat again.. If you are left with 10-12 or more idlis left over, you can try this tasty upma..

Ingredients:-

Idlis left over ಉಳಿದ ಇಡ್ಲಿಗಳು – 10 to 12 or more
Green chillies ಹಸಿಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ-2 or 3
Ginger ಶುಂಠಿ- half inch
Coriander leaves ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪು – little
Dil leaves ಸಬ್ಬಸಿಗೆ ಸೊಪ್ಪು – little(optional)
Mustard, jeera ಸಾಸಿವೆ ಜೀರಿಗೆ- 1 tspns each
Bengal gram , urad dal ಕಡಲೆಬೇಳೆ ಉದ್ದಿನಬೇಳೆ- 1/2 tsp each
Tomato ಟೊಮ್ಯಾಟೋ – 1 chopped finely
Chutney pudi ಚಟ್ನಿ ಪುಡಿ – 1tspn(optional I have used flaxseed chutney pudi ಅಗಸೆ ಚಟ್ನಿ ಪುಡಿ)

Method

Make pieces of idlis and powder in a mixie — to a dry powder..ಇಡ್ಲಿಯನ್ನು ಮಿಕ್ಸಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ..

In a pan, pour 4 tbspns oil, mustard and jeera, once it splutters add Bengal gram, urad dal,once they turn golden brown, add green chillies, coriander leaves,dil leaves,ginger, tomatoes, little salt, fry well and add powdered idlis, chutney pudi.. mix all again.. ಒಗ್ಗರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಇಡ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ, ಚಟ್ನಿ ಪುಡಿ ಹಾಕಿ, ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಲಸಿ, ಬಡಿಸಿ..

Serve hot.
