Ingredients needed and method
**First clean and grate quarter kg carrots, finely chop 3 tomatoes and 3 onions…
**Make a paste of around 6 green chillies with a few Curry leaves…
**Keep 1 pound of bread ready..
Method
In a pan, heat 3 tbspns of oil, splutter a spoon of mustard , jeera , half spoons each of bengal gram and urad dal, little turmeric, a pinch of asafoetida .. Now add onions , fry well, grated half inch ginger ,grated carrot, green chilli paste, tomatoes, salt, half tspns sugar, fry again well.. Can garnish with coriander leaves too.. This is our masala..
Now heat tawa, put a tspn of ghee and keep 4 slices of bread on medium flame roast for while, top it will little ghee or butter, put the onion-carrot-tomato masala over it, Pat it and spread thoroughly… Repeat this on all the 4 bread slices and cover with a lid for 3 to 4 minutes.. Serve as it is or with tomato ketchup….
